The mid-season refresh for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Season 2 Reloaded, arrived on February 20th with a wealth of new content. However, alongside the additions, the update appears to have brought a wave of technical difficulties, particularly impacting PlayStation 5 users.
Numerous reports have surfaced on social media platforms detailing a substantial decrease in frames per second since the update. Players are describing significant frame drops and stuttering, impacting gameplay across various maps.
While Multiplayer and Zombies modes received ample new content, the same cannot be said for Warzone. Since its integration with Black Ops 6, Warzone has been plagued by bugs, glitches, performance issues, and cheating. Activision's focus on bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements for this season meant limited new content for Warzone, leaving some players disappointed.
The recent issues with Season 2 Reloaded compound existing problems. Players took to social media platforms to voice their frustrations regarding the noticeable FPS drops on PS5. One user described experiencing stuttering in almost every match, while another labeled the performance as “horrid.” Some players specifically identified the remastered Black Ops 2 map, Grind, as a source of the performance dips, while others report experiencing the issues across all maps.
