Excitement is building within the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies community as strong hints suggest the return of the beloved Double Tap perk.  With the latest season receiving mixed reviews and player numbers dwindling, the development team appears to be reintroducing fan-favorite elements to re-engage players.

The first clues emerged within a Black Ops 6 Season 1 bundle. Players noticed a charm resembling the original Double Tap perk logo on the Repairman Operator's belt.  Further fueling speculation, the "Double Tap" text appears on the Big Boomer skin for the Marine SP shotgun, positioned just above the foregrip.

Activision's Stephanie Snowden seemingly confirmed Double Tap's resurgence during the March 26, 2025 episode of the COD POD.  Responding to a fan's question about the next perk, Snowden donned a cowboy hat, adopted a Southern drawl, and replied, "You sure can, partner!"  This response, combined with the Western theme, strongly suggests the return of Double Tap, last seen in Black Ops 3 (2015).

The Double Tap perk consistently proves valuable across various Call of Duty titles, enhancing the player's rate of fire.  Some iterations even offer the powerful "two bullets for the price of one" upgrade. The cowboy hat and Southern accent, reminiscent of Double Tap Root Beer's Western motif, reinforce the community's conviction about Double Tap's return.
