Treyarch Studios has revealed exciting details about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3, including the Black Ops Tribute Event, the arrival of Jay and Silent Bob as operators, and a free trial period.
While Warzone players await Season 3's arrival on April 3rd, Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies players get early access on April 2nd. The new season boasts a fresh Battle Pass, weapons, modes, maps, quality-of-life enhancements, and more. The initial March 20th launch was delayed by two weeks, with Activision promising Season 3 to be a significant moment for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
The iconic duo, Jay and Silent Bob, are confirmed as new operators for Black Ops 6 Season 3.
The Black Ops Tribute Event, running from April 17th to May 1st, will feature 17 earnable rewards. These include the Death Machine Scorestreak, Nail Gun Special Weapon, Close Shave Perk, Thermite Lethal, and a John Black Ops operator skin resembling Modern Warfare's Roze skin. Players earn XP in any mode to unlock these rewards, with additional exclusive items available for Black Ops 6 owners. Some of the other rewards include C9 10mm Auto 30-Round Mags, an emote, and GobbleGums for Zombies mode.
Activision describes the event as a "legendary tribute" to the Black Ops series, honoring its history. The event is accessible in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
To celebrate Season 3's launch, a free trial for Black Ops 6 will run from April 2nd to April 3rd, coinciding with Warzone's 24-hour server downtime for the Verdansk update. This allows players to experience the new content while Warzone is offline.
