The Call of Duty community is buzzing with speculation and concern around the upcoming Season 2 update for Black Ops 6. The new Zombies map, The Tomb, set to launch on January 28, 2025, and commemorate 115 Day, has been met with accusations of AI involvement in its logo design.

A Twitter user and mod creator, EpicNNG, used AI detection tools, claiming the logo has a high probability of being AI-generated. They cited changes in noise channels as key evidence. This isn't the first instance of such allegations against the Black Ops 6 team.  The Necroclaus loading screen faced similar scrutiny due to an anatomical anomaly.

While some fans defend the designs, arguing that AI detectors are unreliable and even flag selfies as AI-generated, the discussion surrounding AI's role in game development continues. Previous reports from 2024 also suggested AI's involvement in Modern Warfare 3's Yokai cosmetic bundle, raising broader concerns about the potential impact on artists and the industry.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is hinting at the return of a familiar SMG in the upcoming Season 2 update. Dataminers have uncovered potential evidence pointing towards this classic weapon's comeback.

Aside from the controversy, Season 2 promises exciting new features. Players can expect a co-op pause functionality for Zombies, an AFK Kick Loadout Recovery system, and separate HUD presets for multiplayer and Zombies modes, enhancing the overall gaming experience. The new map will also continue the Citadelle des Morts storyline.
