Black Ops 6 Season 2 has arrived with a bang, bringing a wave of new content and a Double XP event to boost player progression. While an in-game notification about the Double XP event was temporarily removed,  its return is anticipated, promising players bonus experience gains across various game modes.

Season 2 launched on January 28th, introducing three new multiplayer maps, a fresh arsenal of weapons, and more. Multiplayer enthusiasts have much to explore, while Warzone players will see content updates focused on bug fixes and gameplay improvements due to ongoing issues from Season 1.

The Double XP event, as previously advertised, is expected to begin on January 30th.  While the official duration remains unconfirmed, it's likely to span the weekend and into the following week, providing players with increased XP, Weapon XP, and Gobblegum earn rates.  Notably, this Double XP event will not include bonus Battle Pass XP.

The Double XP period offers a perfect opportunity to level up the new Season 2 weapons. The Feng 82 LMG, available on page 3 of the Battle Pass, boasts a slow rate of fire but delivers substantial damage.  The classic PPSH-41 SMG returns on page 6, while page 8 introduces the Cypher 091 assault rifle, offering a unique balance of firepower, handling, and mobility.  All these weapons are free to unlock through the Battle Pass.

Beyond the weapons, Season 2 introduces a Terminator crossover event starting February 6th.  Running for two weeks, the event features 13 unlockable rewards.  Players can collect skulls dropped by eliminated enemies in Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone (by opening caches or eliminating opponents) and then exchange these skulls for event rewards.
