Treyarch Studios has announced the return of the fan-favorite Gun Game mode to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer in a playlist update arriving on March 13th. This update also features a new event, Clover Craze, and two new Moshpit playlists.
Gun Game, a free-for-all mode where players progress through a set of weapons by earning kills, was previously reintroduced in Season 2 but was later removed. This time, it returns with a significant change: the ability to party up with friends, addressing a previous point of contention within the community.
The returning Gun Game mode will allow parties of up to four players in public lobbies, as confirmed by Treyarch on Twitter. The update is scheduled for March 13th, likely around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. In addition to Gun Game's comeback, the Clover Craze event offers players the chance to earn cosmetic rewards by collecting four-leaf clovers in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
The update introduces both Core and Hardcore versions of the new Face Off Endurance Moshpit. This mode, which debuted last week, extends the time and score limits for various 6v6 respawn modes and will now feature some of Black Ops 6's smallest maps in this new variation.
While this update primarily focuses on new playlists, it follows a recent March 11th patch that significantly buffed the D1.3 Sector weapon and addressed various bugs. The patch also extended the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Event Pass to March 20th, likely due to the Season 3 delay.
